Held on May 23, the pre-conference workshops offer an opportunity for an in-depth look into areas of positive psychology that interest you most.  Presented by internationally renowned leaders in the field, these interactive workshops offer participants a ‘close up’ look at the research-based applications of positive psychology.  

You can attend one of two, full day workshops or choose from the 6, half day sessions on offer.  

You may decide to mix and match: attending 1 x morning and 1 x afternoon session – the choice is yours.

Mindfulness Programs in Positive Psychology

Mindfulness meditation is one of the most popular interventions in psychology – while positive psychology (PP) is the fastest developing branch of psychology.  What happens when these two are brought together?

This workshop will explore the points of convergence between mindfulness and PP.

Workshop 5:

Present Positive:  How Coaches and Their Clients Can Leverage the Psychology of Presence to Improve their Performance

Social scientists have researched for decades how people influence each other, through words and body language. This workshop will help teach coaches techniques to improve their verbal and non-verbal influencing skills.  In addition, the course will look at growing your presence as a coach, and tools to share with clients to help them develop their own presence.  The approach is from two vantage points - the external and the internal aspects of presence
