Speaker: Sabre Cherkowski, PhD
Description:
We know from research that paying attention to capacities such as happiness, resilience, optimism and compassion can lead to benefits and improvements in the workplace. These findings have implications for the work of teaching, leading and learning in schools and the benefits that may accrue from deliberately focusing on what goes well and what provokes vitality in schools. This webinar provides an overview of an ongoing research project designed from a positive organizational perspective to understand what it means to flourish in schools; offers practices and experiences that may be useful for encouraging personal and collective flourishing at work and in life; and serves as an invitation into a larger conversation about what it means to teach, work and live from a strengths-based, generative, positive perspective.
